When you enter a jjimjilbang, the first thing you do is take off your shoes, place them in a shoe locker, and receive a key. This one key often unlocks the shoe locker, the clothing locker, and even covers all payments inside the facility, so it's best to wear it on your wrist so you don't lose it. Next, head to the bathhouse area, which is separated by gender, to store your clothes and wash up. Once you change into the jjimjilbang uniform, you'll move to the shared common area where gender doesn't matter and you can reunite with family and friends.
